Heading to the “mountains” in Estonia. That is at least what the locals call it. It’s a bit of a detour on the way back to Riga from Tartu, but why not.

Suur Munamägi is the highest point in the Baltics. Measuring 318 meter above sea level. No need for Oxygen tubes… Well, maybe I should have brought them as I had Covid, but only realized later.
Anyway. Just went for a short ride around the area. My guess is that “Haanja Recreation and Sports Center” is more busy in the winter…


Back to what I came here for

I have to say that it’s a bit funny that I come to see the highest peak in the Baltics and get a good view, but to even see anything from the top you need to climb up a very high tower (and pay the access fee).

The view is maybe not so spectacular but it’s beautiful. To the East you see Russia

And towards West I get to see a nice sun set before heading back to Riga.
