How cool. Having friends over for a long weekend just biking all days along. We get ourselves a soft start by cruising around in the city. And getting interviewed…
Friday
In Mežaparks we drop by the song festival stage (Mežaparka Lielā Estrāde) and make our way back to the city passing by Bābelītes, Velo Express – the best bike shop in town, and the pump track at Central Sport District – all the way to Karlis place: Buberts.
We get the bikes into the basement and stay a bit too long and get a bit too much of what “friends offer…”
Saturday
New day. We go for Sigulda (read more here). It’s a fantastic day with all the colors of a great autumn day. Hikers discovered too but we managed to avoid most of them.
After a lunch at the café close to the castle Karlis is showing up. We play around on the castle grounds and get to know some new trails (to me at least) on the other side of the river.
A full day in the saddle has come to an end
Sunday
Time to show Piejūras dabas parks (Read more here) to the guys. We make it another full day enjoying the roller coasters all the way to Carnikava and back.
Monday
4th day biking and the energy level is maybe not on top but we find some reserves to enjoy OZK (Read more here)
