Back in Câmpulung and Romania for a long weekend. Last time I ended up breaking my collar bone – this time around no broken bones!
And since last time Razvan has been to the Olympics as the Coach/trainer of the Romanian team.
So nice to be back and the temperature is just above 0 degrees, so most of the mud should be frozen. All the guys are busy so I sneak out on a ride on my own borrowing one of the eBikes.
Iezer mountain in the background (previous trips to Iezer: 2016 & 2019)
I go for a bit of a tour around the area and then to Cicocan for the built trails but at that time I have absolutely no brakes left and end up walking down some of the cool sections…
Next day I go together with Razvan and bikes are in as good shape as we are.
Checking out some of the practice trails used in the training camp he is hosting during summers.
We continue towards Ciocan
Conditions are even better today after the cold night. We really take benefit of the eBikes doing many climbs to enjoy all the trails down.
Great to see true recycling: a truck frame is now a bridge.
Up again and after some more runs we’re back in town – with no broken bones 😊
